I'm Wendy Phelps I have worked for my Dad that last 22 year at his insurance agency. Single no kids just two big old dogs. I have done two have done two half marathons with Train To End Stroke with the American Stroke Assn. and been a mentor with the group. Volunteered with American Cancer Socity Reach to Recovery program. I'm on the zoning/planning commission in Leon Valley, Texas and the chairperson for Trade and Market days committee. I'm a member of the Alamo Breast Cancer Foundation. I like the outdoors when it isn't 100 in Texas and I like to do woodcrafts and I like to spend time at our ranch and fish. I like to ride my bike also.

Treatment Summary:
Had lumpectomy followed by 4 rounds of adriamycin,cytoxan 25 radation treatment and then 4 rounds of taxol. Did marathon in Kona Hawaii June 2004 came back having hard time breathing right lung collasped drained two liters fluid from outter sack. Had breast cancer cells this was 09-15-2004. After draining a total of 4 more liters of fluid from right lung I started weekly chemo of Taxotere, carboplatin and herceptin since I'm HER2 postitive. Was havind so many side effect from the chemo that it was changed on 11-18-2004 to Navelbine and herceptin did this combo every week until 12-29-04. Jan 5-2005 started taking just Herception since tumor markers where just fine. So I take herception every 3 weeks and will do this the rest of my life. Have had CAT scans, PET scans so far everything is good.
