Cancer diagnoses are always nasty surprises, mine doubly so since I had testicular at 54 years young. I’ve been on surveillance and all clear for almost 2 years. I credit the gang on TC-Cancer.com with helping preserve my sanity and maintain my sense of humor. A special God Bless to Scott Joy for everything he does.
When diagnosed, I was depressed and didn’t want anybody to know. But it didn’t take long to figure out that did not make me feel any better. So I started fighting back by participating in the 2008 LSC’s in San Jose and Philly as a walker. Like many, I was inspired to get more involved, help others, and I now feel great about my life. After 25 years without serious biking, decided to leap back in. I’ll be riding LSC Philly in 2009 as a member of the Lovestrong team.
Bicycling does not cause cancer, but cancer apparently causes bicycling.
