Cancer Overview:

General Cancer Type: Sarcoma

Specific Cancer Type: Liposarcoma

Treatment Summary:
My tumor (in the abdomen) was found by accident during an apendectomy, and was originally mis-diagnosed. When it diagnosed properly, I underwent immeadiate surgery for resection of the tumor. I lost my right kidney and 1/3 of my bowel. I declined to undergo Chemo (the med research at the time did not indicate any impact of Chemo on recurrence of liposarcomas), however underwent 2 months of almost daily radiation treatments. It has just been 10 years since diagnosis and I'm still around.
