I am married with two sons. My wife and the love of my life, Cindy, works full time as a Hearing Aid Practitioner. Our sons are grown and pretty much out on their own. I have been a firefighter for just over 20 years and prior to that held numerous jobs.

I have always enjoyed riding my bikes... one mountain and one road. I rode my bike until I was 18 before I finally decided to get a drivers license. Even after being licensed and getting a car, the bike was my preferred method of travel. I've cycled in 3 triathlon team events, a duathlon and a few other events. My most enjoyed ride was my first and only Century a few years ago. I road my bike to work throughout the year... the coldest day was -45 C. I stopped riding in November of 2004 because of discomfort from advanced prostate cancer, but have returned slowly to my favorite pastime.

I love camping, hiking and just going for long walks. The walks I now enjoy with our new family addition, a Portuguese Water dog named Tessa. We got her to help fill the void while I was away for radiation treatments. She has been an absolute joy and a great companion for Cindy while I was away, and now for both of us.
