Married to a wonder and supportive spouse, Bill for 13 years. We are the proud "parents" of four delightful cats. Bill and I love to travel and see the beauty sites in nature. I also fly fish and love to spend time around rivers. Moving waters are as relaxing as a great bike ride!
Lance Armstrong got me back off the couch and back on my bike. I believe this saved my life.
I rode in the 2005 Ride for the Roses in Austin and was awestruck. I think my husband would agree that it was a life changing day! Although they have not yet found the cure for carcinoid cancer, I plan to be sitting in the front row of the press conference when they announce the discovery of a cure!Until then I'll just keep on riding to survive...

Treatment Summary:
Carcinoid is a slow growning neuroendocrine cancer for which there currently is no cure. Continuous chemotherapy and biotherapy treatments since diagnosis in 1997. More than 3 years of interferon use. I also include my bike riding as a critical part of my cancer treatment.It is more powerful than most drugs!
