I'm pushing 50 but that's OK because 18 years ago I didn't think I'd ever be able to say that! A Physical Therapist by profession, I am currently between jobs as a result of an on-the-job injury. The choice to be made now is to return to work in an outpatient, primarily orthopedic setting, specialize in hand therapy or even canine rehabilitation (!)...or become a professional dog walker! My husband and I are separated but good friends and I'm enjoying my free time exploring my new neighborhood (Berkeley hills) by biking and hiking. The San Francisco Bay Area is a beautiful place and I'd be happy to play tour guide to any one who is headed this way.

I didn't become passioante about cycling and had never heard of Lance Armstrong until 2000. Originally, I was inspired to resume cycling after meeting Andy Hampsten in Italy and vowing to return there with my bike to ride with his tour group. That year, 2002, was memorable because I lived my dream of cycling in Italy and finished my first Ride for the Roses century.
