I am a small business owner operating a construction company and a consulting business. I am an avid racquetball player in addition to my new found love of cycling. I have been married 34+ years with two amazing sons. I am a 33 year testicular cancer survivor, having been diagnosed at the ripe old age of 20 and at a time when few survived. I was in fact told I would not likely survive. I learned long ago to live by my "three P's".... persistence, perseverance and most of all PASSION. I am currently a member of two State boards dealing with cancer, founded a regional organization to educate, empower and inspire others to become effective advocates for others, I am deeply involved with the LAF, ACS and NCCS. I speak to support groups and anyone who will listen with the hopes of giving someone faith and hope when they get little otherwise by sharing my survival story. General Cancer Type: Testicular
Specific Cancer Type: pure embryonal with vascular invasion
Treatment Summary:
Orchiectomy, RPLND and one year of chemo.. by the grace of God I have been incredibly HEALTHY ever since!!! I have not suffered any real long term health issues nor any recurrances.
