A tumor was discovered in the sinus cavity causing swelling and double vision in the right eye orbit, no other symptoms or involvement. Started chemo(Rituxan & CHOP) on 50th Birthday, Jan 8 2001, followed by 24 days of radiation to the tumor site. 16 months post treatment in remission, feel great. I quit riding about 7 years ago due to job and family constraints. Since May of this year I am back to riding and loving every minute and every hill on the road. Talked my wife into a new road bike. Trying to ride 4 or 5 days a week (150 - 200 miles /wk). I Live in Rochester MN (Mayo Clinic) Employed by the Olmsted County Sheriff's Office for 29 years, where I am the Chief Deputy and hopefully will be until I retire in the next couple of years.
Work is getting in the way of riding my bike.
My wife is a RN at Mayo and I have a son and daughter who are both married.
